Though the comprehensive dental exam at our dentist office in Houston is extremely thorough, the naked eye cannot always discern every potential oral health concern. X-rays offer a more thorough and accurate look at what is really going on below the surface, inside your gums, and within the root and nervous systems of your teeth. By using x-rays, we can check for any bone loss and determine the presence and severity of gum disease.

In addition to revealing any problems that were not visible during the clinical exam, these initial x-rays will also provide us with a benchmark against which we can compare your future exams.

All the films we take at our dentist office in Houston are digital. Digital x-rays offer the advantages of being clearer, quicker and most importantly, minimizing the patient's radiation to exposure, which is a risk inherent in standard imaging.
